Mother Nature tried to throw a curve ball this past weekend, but the Orlando
Meltdown hit a homerun with another successful tournament. Our gratitude is
being extended to each and every manager, player and fan that showed their
support to the 2008 Meltdown, for without each and every one of you… there
would be no Meltdown!
The Orlando Meltdown staff will be writing out checks
for over six thousand dollars to the charities that teams represented while
playing a sport that ya’ll love so dearly. These checks will be reaching
your charities at a time when many of them are struggling due to the
economic struggles that exists in our communities today! And so, in an
essence, the Orlando Meltdown continues past the weekend festivities of what
was a simple softball tournament.
So again, thank you for making the 2008 Orlando
Meltdown Charity Softball Tournament a success! And be sure to mark your
calendars for our 10th Annual Orlando Meltdown in 2009… it’s
certain to be an event you won’t want to miss!
